September 22, 2021 Regular Meeting
Call to Order
President Stephanie Guerrero called the Budget Hearing to order at 6:00 p.m. Board members present were: Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, Jeff Stahl, and Matt Wood.
Hearing on the 2021-2022 School District Budget
Jeff Stahl moved and Josh Hilbert seconded the motion to open the hearing on the 2021-2022 school district budget. Roll Call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, Jeff Stahl, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Jessica Browning moved and Matt Wood seconded the motion to close the hearing on the 2021-2022 school district budget. Roll call vote: Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, Jeff Stahl, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Hearing Adjourned
Josh Hilbert moved and Matt Wood seconded that the hearing be adjourned at 6:02 p.m. All voted in favor. Motion carried.

President Guerrero recognized and welcomed the visitors. Visitors present were: Heather Vaughan, Colette Phillips, Ashley Murphy, Rebecca Armstrong.

Executive Session
Martha Leeper moved and Lori Campbell seconded the motion to enter closed session at 6:08 p.m. for the reasons stated on the agenda. Roll Call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, Jeff Stahl, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Closed Session Adjournment
Josh Hilbert moved and Jessica Browning seconded the motion to re-enter open session at 6:59 p.m. Roll Call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, Jeff Stahl, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Closed Session Minutes
Josh Hilbert moved and Matt Wood seconded the motion to accept the closed session minutes as read in closed session. Roll Call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, Jeff Stahl, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Employment
Matt Wood moved and Lori Campbell seconded the motion to employ Mary Hamm as an at-will bus monitor for the 21-22 school year. Roll Call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, Jeff Stahl, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Consent Agenda
Martha Leeper moved and Josh Hilbert seconded the motion to approve the consent agenda as presented. Roll Call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, Jeff Stahl, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Superintendent’s Report
Mr. Meadows provided the Board with updated district enrollment numbers.
Mr. Meadows discussed COVID-19 protocols with the Board.
President Guerrero discussed Board subcommittees.
Curriculum Advisory Committee
Mr. Field updated the Board on behalf of the Curriculum Advisory Committee.
District Budget
Matt Wood moved and Martha Leeper seconded the motion to adopt the 2021-22 district budget as presented. Roll Call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, Jeff Stahl, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
District Audit
Josh Hilbert moved and Jessica Browning seconded the motion to approve the FY 21 district audit. Roll Call vote: Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, Jeff Stahl, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
IASB
Jessica Browning moved and Lori Campbell seconded the motion to designate Martha Leeper as the voting member for the IASB Delegate Assembly. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
King Lar
Matt Wood moved and Martha Leeper seconded the motion to approve the bid from King-Lar for bathroom repair at the Middle School for the amount of $7,207.00. Roll Call vote:Ayes-Jessica Browning, Lori Campbell, Stephanie Guerrero, Josh Hilbert, Martha Leeper, Jeff Stahl, and Matt Wood. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
Softball Fields
Josh Hilbert moved and Matt Wood seconded the motion to allow Alan Ferriell to use the softball fields in Harristown and Illiopolis pending proof of liability insurance. All voted in favor. Motion carried.
