SVMS staff is ready for a great year! It was exciting to greet all of our students Monday morning. Students did a great job meeting their teachers and learning their schedules.

On August 17 from 5:30 to 7:00, meet your teacher, get your schedule and set up your locker! Mimi’s Frosty will be there from 6:15 to 7:00.

Online registration will open Monday, July 17 for returning students. In-person registration will be held August 8 in each school building.

I hope that you have had a relaxing summer and have had an opportunity to spend time with family and friends. It has been a busy summer as we continue to make improvements to our facilities and fill teaching positions.

SVMS Track & Field competed in Sectionals in Riverton, hosted by Tri-City. The 7th grade boys team received 1st place overall! Here is a list of Sectional 1st place finishes.

SVMS Choir and Band was able to show off their amazing talents Wednesday evening during our Spring Concert. Thank you to Mrs. B-Webb and Mr. Gorecki for being outstanding directors within our SVMS Team.

Congratulations to 8th grader Lydia Pierson, who was honored by the Illinois Principals’ Association for her leadership skills and strong positive characteristics!
